On Tuesday morning, August 27, several of our members joined Family Foundation of Virginia for a Pastors’ Regional Forum at the James River Conference Center in Lynchburg, Virginia.

The Pastors were treated to a free breakfast and an informative message from John Stonestreet, who answered questions like:

  • Do you, as a pastor, have a role in politics?
  • Do cultural issues transcend politics?
  • When should you speak out?

According to the Family Foundation website, familyfoundation.org, John is “a Speaker and Fellow of the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview. He is a gifted communicator on areas of faith and culture, theology, worldview, education, and apologetics, and is a sought-after speaker at conferences, colleges, churches, schools, and other various gatherings each year.”

Our members participated by helping register the pastors. Our State Director, Janet Robey, gave an overview of CWA of Virginia and presented our Encourage-A-Legislator project.

CWA of Virginia was excited to be a part of this event to educate pastors on their Biblical role in politics and public policy.
