Mourning the loss of a great warrior for Christ
On September 10, 2025, our nation experienced a heartbreaking tragedy. The loss of Charlie Kirk, a bold disciple of Jesus Christ and co-founder of Turning Point USA. This is a sobering reminder that Christians are not promised an easy life – but we are called to stand firm, speaking the truth in love.
“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.” – Ephesians 4:13
Concerned Women for America of Texas extends our deepest condolences to Erika Kirk, their children, Charlie’s parents, family, and friends. His mission to promote conservative Christian values and encourage young people to speak truth with courage has left a lasting legacy.
Throughout public forums, Charlie demonstrated unwavering boldness, faithfully proclaiming Biblical truth. His life will be remembered as a testimony to standing for righteousness in love.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott released this statement after the assassination of Charlie Kirk:
“Cecilia and I are heartbroken by the assassination and passing of Charlie Kirk,” said Governor Abbott. “Charlie’s voice was a beacon for millions of young Americans searching for truth, courage, and conviction. This senseless act of violence has no place in America. Our prayers are with Charlie’s family and his loved ones, especially the two young children he leaves behind. Texas stands with them in mourning and in honoring Charlie’s enduring legacy.”
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” – Mark 12:30-31
Please join CWA of Texas in prayer for:
- Erika, their children, Charlie’s parents, and all who are grieving this deep loss.
- Our leaders in Texas and across the nation – that they would be protected, strengthened, and guided by God’s truth.
- The next generation – that they would rise up with courage, keep their eyes on Jesus, and stand firm in their faith.
We become more like Jesus when we stand for what’s right, no matter the cost.
