Critical Action Needed to Defend the Unborn of Virginia

By December 13, 2024Virginia

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; . . .Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” - Psalm 139:13-14,16

House Amendment  HJ1 “Provides that every individual has the fundamental right to reproductive freedom and that the right to make and effectuate one’s own decisions about all matters related to one’s pregnancy cannot be denied, burdened, or otherwise infringed upon by the Commonwealth, unless justified by a compelling state interest and achieved by the least restrictive means. The amendment prohibits the Commonwealth from penalizing, prosecuting, or otherwise taking adverse action against an individual for exercising the individual’s right to reproductive freedom or for aiding another individual in the exercise of such right, unless justified by a compelling state interest.” [Underline added for emphasis.]
The Virginia House of Delegates is anticipated to vote on HJ1 as early as January 8 as this amendment is viewed as URGENT by the pro-abortion legislators in Virginia.

Join us as we make our voices heard on this life issue.

Take action to oppose HJ1:

  1. Call and/or email your state delegate. Encourage him/her to oppose HJ1 when it comes to the floor for a vote in early January. Click here to find your state legislator.
  2. Please forward this email to family and friends.

Join us in prayer: Father God, we stand in the gap for our state and nation, pleading for your forgiveness for the abomination of the shedding of innocent blood. We pray earnestly for our Virginia General Assembly to vote godly and courageously by opposing every bill or amendment introduced to further the killing of innocent babies. May all pro-death measures be defeated. We pray that the protection of all innocent human life from conception until natural death would become the law of our state and nation. In the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we pray, amen.

Thank you!
