Nance: “CWA applauds the decision to stop the Obama Administration’s abortion mandate against Tyndale House Publishers.”

Washington, D.C. — Concerned Women for America (CWA) CEO and President Penny Nance has released the following statement in response to the court order to stop enforcement of the Obama Administration’s individual mandate on Tyndale House Publishers:

“This is just one instance where the Obama Administration has infringed upon the American business owners’ religious liberties. With the individual mandate’s religious exception being so narrow, Tyndale House was subject to the mandate based on its for-profit corporations being categorically “non-religious.” Tyndale House gives 96.5 percent of its profits to religious non-profit works around the world, yet it still did not meet the religious standards of the Obama Administration.

“Tyndale House Publishers has shown the only solution against the individual mandate is for Americans to stand up and fight for their religious rights by refusing to comply or battling the mandate in court.

“Groups and organizations are coming out strong against this insidious mandate. These establishments drive home the message that religious people will stand up for their freedom of religion and their God-given rights.”
