Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Georgia and the American Principles Project (APP) are partnering together to educate Georgians on the Common Core State Standards. We believe it is time to inform and educate on the federal power grab of our schools. It is time to educate our state citizens on the threat Common Core places on the American education system and the harm it imposes on our children’s future.

A clear message must be sent to our elected state officials that we will not cede to the federal government Georgia’s constitutional authority over education, and parents’ authority to control and influence what their children are taught in school.

Come hear CWA of Georgia State Director Tanya Ditty and Jane Robbins of the American Principles Project speak at an education summit in Blairsville, Georgia.

Jane Robbins will speak on how the Common Core standards were hoisted on the state of Georgia without any legislative oversight or parental input. She will explain how the Common Core seeks to centralize the education of American children, dictate what teachers can and can’t teach and control the content of curriculum.

Tanya Ditty will provide specific strategies and action items on how we can begin to regain local control of education here in Georgia.

When: April 2, 2013
Where: Haralson Memorial Civic Center (165 Welborn Street Blairsville, GA 30512)
Time: 7:00 p.m.

The event is free and is sponsored by the Union-Towns County Tea Party.

If you do not live in or around Blairsville and wish to sponsor a Stop Common Core Education Summit in your community, please contact Tanya Ditty by e-mail or by phone (770-617-1987)
