Celebrating the First Christmas at the Capitol with Concerned Women for America of Pennsylvania

“Men must be governed by God, or they will be ruled by tyrants.”
-William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania

December 8 marked a special occasion as Concerned Women for America of Pennsylvania gathered for our first Christmas at the Capitol.

The day began with an inspiring spiritual tour of Pennsylvania’s breathtaking State Capitol, graciously sponsored by Rep. Joseph Hamm (R-District 84).  The vision and resilience of William Penn are brought to life throughout every corner of the building, reflecting the Biblical influence upon his life.  Penn’s commitment to religious freedom not only shaped our state’s identity but also the core principles that underpin our nation.  We all walked away with a heightened appreciation of how faith and government are intertwined within our Commonwealth, forming a legacy of liberty and hope.

Following the tour, a panel of distinguished leaders addressed two critical and interconnected issues: safeguarding the integrity of women’s sports and confronting the tragic reality of human trafficking affecting children. This unique setting promoted dialogue, fostered understanding, and inspired action on the vital issues currently shaping our state. We were honored to specifically pray for each of the following presenters:

  • State Sen. Chris Dush (R-District 25), sponsor of The Age Verification for Pornography Sites legislation and the Faith Month Resolution
  • State Rep Joseph Hamm (R-District 84), sponsor of The Baby Olivia Bill
  • State Sen. Judy Ward (R-District 30) and Rep. Barb Gleim (R-District 199), sponsors of the Saving Women’s Sports Act
  • Macy Petty, Legislative Strategist with Concerned Women for America
  • Faith Ozenbaugh, National Director for Young Women for America

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this first Christmas at the Capitol so memorable. Your participation not only enriched the day but also planted seeds for ongoing connection and awareness that will surely flourish throughout the holidays and beyond.

From knees to feet,
