As Pennsylvania, along with the nation and much of the world, prepares to celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives is preparing to vote on an extremely radical abortion package that would make our Commonwealth one of the most permissive states in the nation.
On Wednesday, December 17, the Pennsylvania House is expected to vote on the following harmful abortion bills:
- HB670 – Expands the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act in ways that could criminalize peaceful pro-life activity outside abortion facilities. Sidewalk counselors, mobile ultrasound units, and even pregnancy centers could face prosecution. The current FACE Act has already been weaponized by the Biden administration to target pro-life advocates outside abortion clinics.
- HB2005 – Eliminates essential protections for women by removing safeguards such as medical consultation, the 24-hour waiting period, and informed consent requirements.
- HB1640, HB1641, HB1643, and HB1966 – Provide legal shields for abortionists and hinder victims from seeking justice. Notably, HB1641 and HB1643 could protect traffickers who transport minors across state lines for abortion.
- HB1957 – Amends the Pennsylvania Constitution to establish abortion as a fundamental right, allowing abortion up to birth, eliminating parental consent requirements, and enabling taxpayer-funded abortions.
This proposed legislation represents a sweeping departure from current safeguards that protect unborn children, ensure parental involvement, and restrict the use of taxpayer dollars for abortion services.
