Would any of us back in February have believed how our world would change? There is hardly anyone who has not been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  I know that we here at CWA have certainly felt the pressure.

Today is #GivingTuesdayNow. CWA asks for your help to continue standing for Biblical values and constitutional principles through this time of uncertainty in our country.

Would you please consider using this opportunity to join in the fight to stand for the sanctity of life, defense of family, religious freedom, education, support for Israel, national sovereignty, and against sexual exploitation?

Send your #GivingTuesdayNow donation to Concerned Women for America now.

What we will do with your gift:

Help support our Prayer/Action Chapters in almost every state, where our members pray, educate themselves and others, and act to protect those Biblical principles we believe are the foundation of freedom.

Help us create a conservative movement by growing our Young Women for America chapters on college campuses around the country. Concerned Women for America’s Young Women for America initiative focuses on prayer, education, and action through the leadership of our Campus Chapter Leaders and Campus Representatives.

Help us provide CWA and YWA volunteers with all the training and educational tools they need to make your voice heard in every state and at the federal level.

Thank you so much for participating with us in #GivingTuesdayNow.

Day 30 – A Prayer of Worship and Thanksgiving

By | Blog, CEO, Covid-19 | No Comments

Well friends, our “30 Days of Prayer in the Midst of Covid-19” comes to an end, and I am rejoicing in the hope that’s to come. You give me hope! You point me to our Almighty God. And He is our hope. Your faith, sticking with us throughout these last thirty days, has been inspiring.

Concerned Women for America (CWA) leaders from around the country were excited to join this effort, and we experienced a spiritual unity that is truly miraculous. It was a gift of God to my life. I hope you had the experience so many on our staff here in Washington, D.C., had. When a day in social isolation was particularly difficult, we would get that notice of that daily prayer, and the words of the page were a balm to our soul. It gave us words to say and helped us take the right posture in the presence of the Creator of the Universe.

I believe this effort will bear much fruit for us in the days ahead as we continue to face the challenges that still await us. This is a time for us to celebrate and gather much fruit in the spirit. Remember the fruits of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23? “Love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control,” this is what we will reap. Let us extend our hands and hearts then in worship and thanksgiving, and pray together once again as we close this effort:

Thank you, Lord!
Thank you, Abba Father.
You are faithful, and
You are good.

You have helped us endure during
This COVID-19 crisis, and more than that
You are continually revealing Yourself to us;
Even in the hardest days of this trial.

You are always near, even when we fail
To see or feel in our humanity. Thank you,
For being our loving Father and patiently awaiting
Our return, as the prodigal son.

Wonderful Counselor, we implore You to remain
With us as we continue to tackle the challenges
Of this coronavirus and what is to come as we open
Our country back in every facet of life.

Give us strength and conviction to make the hard decisions
That must be made and help us to be compassionate at all times.
Give us patience and discernment, help us sort out
Those who would take advantage of our fragile state.

Help our President and all our leaders to have vision
To act in the best interest of our country, even when much uncertainty remains.
Help them to trust You, for nothing is impossible for You.
May we look back in retrospect and praise You for Your wondrous works through COVID-19.

In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen.

That’s it! You made it: 30 Days of Prayer in the Midst of COVID-19, done. You should be proud. I am so thankful for your support. May God continue to bless you beyond measure.

This, of course, is not the end of CWA’s prayer efforts, click here if you would like to check out more prayers from our ongoing general prayer journal, “For America.” And you can click here if you would like to learn more about our local prayers.

Continue to pray for CWA as we turn to planning the return of our national staff to our headquarters and as we work with activists around the nation who are deeply involved in supporting state authorities to reopen America.

In Christ,

The Constitution was Made for Covid-19

By | Blog, CEO, Culture, News and Events | No Comments

CWA’s CEO and President Penny Nance and our General Counsel Mario Diaz co-authored this opinion piece published in TownHall.

“The genius of the U.S Constitution is that it was designed to withstand the pressures of crises. It was a document born of conflict, and the Founders wrote it intending to curtail the human excesses and abuses that tend to come to the surface in times like the one we are living right now.

Fear, insecurity, and perceived need shake us to the core as human beings and, if we are not careful, these times may push us to be willing to enter into oppressive agreements that will ultimately enslave us. It’s part of the human condition that men love power and find it difficult to resist overreach. That is why, now more than ever, we must cling to the principles of liberty embodied in our Constitution. In times of crisis, the overextended hand of nanny state makes citizens feel safe, but that same power can easily morph into a fist.”

Day 15 – Praying the Full Armor of God

By | Blog, CEO, Covid-19 | No Comments

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for our CWA leaders—
Their many gifts and talents.
Lord, we ask you now to anoint them with your Holy Spirit
As we commission them to serve our nation.

Together, we put on the full armor of God
So that we can take a rock-solid stand
Against the devil’s schemes.

Lord, help us all to remember:
That our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
But against the rulers, against authorities,
Against the powers of this dark world
And against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

We pray that your church will put on your armor,
That as we endure in this day of evil, we won’t stop standing our ground,
And after we have done everything, to stand
Having weathered the buffeting of the trials of life and of darkness.

That no matter what; we may stand firm in You
Adorned with the belt of truth,
The breastplate of righteousness firmly in place,
And with our feet fitted with the readiness to share the gospel of peace.

Holy Lord, help us to take up the shield of faith
With which You can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
And give us the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
Which is the Word of God.

Father, many of us are struggling.
Our nation is struggling but, O Lord, help us not to struggle in vain.
We pray that you will heal our nation both physically and spiritually.

We pray for the weakest in our nation,
That you will place a hedge of protection around their bodies.
We pray especially for the elderly and those with other illnesses,
Protect them, Great Physician.

We pray for the doctors, nurses, first responders,
And all other health professionals
That you will keep them and their families safe.

We pray those of us who are well
That we will not grow weary but will serve
And love our neighbors. We pray
for the businesses and charities that are struggling.

We pray for peace for the family who is worried
About paying their rent or child’s school tuition.
Lord, we pray this trial is an awakening for this nation.

Most importantly, Lord, we pray our hearts are turned to You,
That our lips speak Your praise even in the darkness.
May we repent as a nation of our pride and selfishness.

Lord, we know that everything we have
Comes from You and therefore,
We recommit our lives, our families, and
Everything we have to You.

We pray for President Trump. Please,
Give him wisdom and discernment.
We pray for Vice President Pence.
Please bless their entire team with supernatural ability
To combat Covid-19. We pray for Mike Pompeo,
That you will guide him and our nation as we deal with others.

We pray for the church,
For the spiritual leaders among us,
We pray for boldness and courage to
Carry Your gospel with faithfulness.

Anoint us anew,
Amen

Penny Nance: Coronavirus Keeps our Churches Closed on Easter, but our Faith Can Never be Taken From Us

By | Blog, CEO, News and Events, Religious Issues | No Comments

CEO and President Penny Nance published the following opinion piece on FoxNews.com this Easter weekend.

“Like millions of other families, my family’s Easter will be very different this year. Years and years of attending church services, gathering together afterward for a huge meal, wearing a new spring dress, socializing and enjoying fellowship won’t happen. Neighborhood Easter egg hunts are also a no-go.

For the first time in our nation’s history, the doors of America’s churches will be shut on Easter Sunday. Think about that shocking statement for a moment. At a time when we most need to draw strength from our faith, we cannot worship together.

This is hard for us. The American Psychological Association notes that during a period of social distancing, quarantine or isolation, people may experience increased fear, anxiety, depression, boredom, anger, frustration, irritability and stigmatization.”

Easter and the Promise of Redemption

By | Blog, CEO, News and Events, Religious Liberty | No Comments

In this Easter season, I have been thinking about the importance of redemption. Over the years, by virtue of circulation in political circles, I have known personally some people involved in public scandals. The world watches as the media follows them relentlessly for days, weeks, or even months and then evaporates, leaving behind a scene of complete and utter self-inflicted personal destruction. Some of these folks are often distraught to the point of suicide.

What the cameras don’t show is what happens after the hoopla dies down. Sometimes these folks turn inward and become bitter and permanently broken, but not always. The untold stories are the others, the ones who are open to healing and saving grace.

I had the privilege of reflecting on redemption not long ago through the eyes of a woman whose husband was recently the object of a very public humiliation. She spoke about the many, many acts of love and compassion that have been shown to their family.

Members of a local church congregation have come forward to help in tangible ways, but also by sharing their own stories of brokenness and the healing of Christ’s forgiveness and restoration. One woman texted my friend, “Call me, I can help you: signed a survivor of an international sex scandal.”

No one likes to remember their past mistakes, but when they are viewed in the context of sins atoned for by Christ’s sacrifice on the cross then they become only a chapter of a story of victory and healing, not the last chapter. In most cases, the final story is much more important than the earlier narrative.

I was shocked recently when my daughter confessed distaste at the fact that my dear friend and mentor, Chuck Colson, served time in prison.

My husband and I both laughed as she stared at us in confusion.

Taking advantage of a teachable moment, we were then able to point out to her that Colson’s disgrace led him to the foot of the Cross, and from there he has become one of the greatest Christian heroes of our time.

Without the public brokenness, Colson would have never become the man that God has used to minister to literally millions of people, many of whom are or were in prison.

That’s called Grace, and it is at the crux of the Easter story.

As Christians, we believe that Christ, the Son of God, died specifically not for “the righteous, but sinners.” Who is a sinner? Well, all of us. Every single one of us who has ever been unkind, lied, or been disobedient. Yes, all of it counts. He was the only sinless man ever born, and yet, He stepped in to take our punishment and, in the process, conquered sin and ultimately death. He rose to new life and indeed, through his atonement, offers a clean slate before a Holy God. That’s what Easter is all about.

I know it’s interesting to read and watch bad people “get theirs” or to even feel a sense of self-righteousness perhaps watching the lives of Hollywood elites and political figures come crashing down because of bad choices and dishonesty. But we need to remember that, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

I stand with countless other broken humans over the millennia who claim Christ’s sacrifice for our sins. He is risen for all the people caught in scandals, and for those who were never caught, and for those who are just plain broken. I, like the Apostle Paul, stand with the sinners “of whom I am the chief.”

Jesus on the Cross took the punishment I deserve for my sins and now because of His resurrection I stand forgiven by His grace. He will do the same for you as He has done for other sinners just like us. He is risen indeed!

Nance: Coronavirus and the Challenges of Teaching Kids at Home — Please, Do This

By | Blog, CEO, News and Events | No Comments

This week, our CEO and President Penny Nance published the following opinion piece on Fox News online to help the parents impacted by COVID19:

“On Sunday President Trump extended social distancing until April 30th to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the United States. Schools K-12 are closed through the end of the academic year. Many workplaces are closed with some workplaces teleworking and families are self-isolating. Our public school children have become homeschoolers which means our moms and dads have become teachers.

When I was a young mom, I was a nervous wreck without the coronavirus pandemic when it came to my children’s learning. Like many parents, I would wonder if I had them in the right school, the right activities, etc., if they were getting enough mental stimulation, and if they were learning at the right pace.

Then I would worry about them not doing enough sports, and then I would stress over their music education. It was constant stress doled out by well-intentioned “experts.”

Now that my last child is college-aged, I can tell you this – you are doing great – just R-E-L-A-X!

I understand, your stress can be intense. One friend told me she’s not only struggling to ensure her family’s safety and meet the demands of her workplace, but she’s now overseeing her 5-year old’s education whom the teacher believes should be working a full school day. (By the way, please give teachers grace as they are also navigating a path that is completely foreign to them.)”

From Penny’s Heart

By | Blog, CEO | No Comments

A Special Message from the Heart of Concerned Women for America CEO and President Penny Nance.

Hello everyone, this is Penny Nance. I’m just pausing because I have this strong message on my heart. I’m stopping right where I am to record this because I just want people to hear it. And particularly for the elderly in our country to understand this.

What I want you to know is that, in this country, we support the intrinsic value of every human life. And that is regardless of whether or not you are eight days in the womb or eighty-eight in age.

We are here as a nation, coming together in support of you. So much so, that we are willing to stay home from our jobs, some of us are losing our businesses, some of us are in deep financial straits. Our economy is in the tank. But when we put it all side by side with our choices, the President is 100 percent right. We value you!

We value you with a compromised immune system. We value you who have aids or who have cancer or who are very sick for some other reason. We value you, and at Concerned Women for America, we will fight for you!

We do not know how long this will go on. But we will fight for every person, no matter their age, to receive care. We will sacrifice personally to make sure you get it. We believe in Psalm 139, that God knit you together in your mother’s womb, and this is not a surprise to Him.

So, understand that the pro-life community is pro-life no matter what point in life you are. We are here for you. We are here to fight for you.

So please don’t be afraid. Please understand that there is grief around all of this because there is deep sacrifice. People are scared. It makes us feel out of control. We feel a little angry as we watch the stock prices go down and we know what that means for people’s jobs. Those two things, those two principles: the grief of what is happening in our country, the loss of freedom, honestly (our kids can’t go to school, we can’t go to church, we can’t go to work), all the things we can’t do can exist alongside our love for you. Those two things can exist at the same time, and they do!

But I want you to hear me when I speak for Concerned Women for America and for pro-life people around this country, that we are here for you. Let us know what you need. Our kids are all home. We’d love to send them over to the grocery store for you and then put them on the front porch so that you don’t have to trade germs with anyone.

Let those of us who are able, help take care of others. This might mean taking people into our homes at some point. This is a long-term problem. But we’re in this together and this is a great opportunity for the church to be the Church. To share the hope that is within us.

Because we do not put our faith in horses and chariots, it says in the Bible, but our hope is in a risen God. And in the future that He holds. None of this is a surprise to God. He remains on His throne in heaven. He is not shocked by any of this. He is still in control. And until we are taken home to Him, we will serve. In whatever way that is. And we will speak for the least of these.

So, again, this is Penny Nance with Concerned Women for America. I just had to share this message that’s deeply on my heart. I’m outside. I was on my way somewhere; I had to pause and share this thought with you.

God bless you. We love you. We’re in this together. Come to ConcernedWomen.org for prayer points, for notes of encouragement, for content for homeschool moms, or content for college students or any of us who just want to learn something while we’re at home.

We are going to make sure that we are leaning into this moment.

Thank you and God bless you.

Nance: The Equal Rights Amendment is the Dems’ Frankenstein Monster

By | Blog, CEO, Feminist / Women's Issues, News and Events, Politics/National Sovereignty | No Comments

President and CEO of Concerned Women for America, Penny Nance, wrote the following piece on the Equal Rights Amendment that has been written in such a way to erase the uniqueness of women:

“The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) is dead.

The Department of Justice announced as much in January.

Even Justice Ginsburg, the “most prominent feminist lawyer in American history,” has said the ERA has missed its opportunity and proponents need to start from square one.

Still, House Democrats will play Dr. Frankenstein on Thursday as they try to resurrect the ERA monster. They’ve scheduled a vote to remove the 40-year-old deadline on the legislation’s ratification after Virginia became the 38th state to approve the amendment in January, sending hopeful politicians into a tizzy.

Concerned Women for America (CWA) — the organization I lead — was literally founded to fight the ERA 40 years ago. Our founder believed women deserve fairness and equality under the law and was determined to oppose the ERA because it effectively writes us out of it.

The ERA proposes “Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex” and that “Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.”

Nance: Trump is Positively Impacting the Lives of Millions of Women

By | Blog, CEO, Feminist / Women's Issues, News and Events, Politics/National Sovereignty | No Comments

Penny Nance, President and CEO of Concerned Women for America, shared her thoughts with Breitbart News on how President Donald Trump’s administration is actually benefitting women, unlike the media claims:

“The president and CEO of the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization says the economic policies of President Donald Trump, along with his judiciary nominees and protections for the unborn, are benefiting millions of women voters in America.

In a statement sent to Breitbart News, Penny Nance of Concerned Women for America (CWA) responded to former Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards’ comment last week that if women show up at the polls in full force in November, it could be “game over” for Trump.

Richards, who turned America’s largest abortion business into a political powerhouse that has now pushed the Democrat Party leftward to fully embrace abortion on demand, told MSNBC that “58% of caucus goers in Iowa were women … If 58% of voters next fall are women, it’s game over.”

Richards told host Lawrence O’Donnell there is an “enormous divide” because the president “disrespects women and disrespects the Speaker,” and “repeatedly lies about the situation for women in this country.”

“That’s why you see women so motivated right now to be involved in politics and voting,” she added.

But, Nance says unequivocally, “Cecile Richards is wrong,” and explains:

President Trump is positively impacting the lives of millions of women. His administration has supported policies that have raised wages, lowered unemployment, cut taxes, confirmed fair judges for our judicial system, and protected the unborn. These are issues about which women care.

The Trump Administration’s actions to support women are bold and successful, and female conservative voters have taken notice and are giving him credit.”

Nance: End Hollywood’s War on Content Filtering

By | Blog, CEO, News and Events, Social / Cultural Issues | No Comments

Penny Nance, President and CEO of Concerned Women for America, co-wrote the following piece with Tim Winter, President of Parents Television Council which ran in the Washington Examiner Sunday February 9. The piece is about how films are becoming more explicit and profane in nature and how content filtering would help us better protect our children:

“Tonight, an estimated 30 million Americans will watch ABC’s annual telecast of the Academy Awards, sharing Hollywood’s celebration of outstanding achievement in motion picture entertainment. Not only is it Hollywood’s greatest night of the year, it will likely be the second-most-watched program on television this year, following last Sunday’s broadcast of Super Bowl LIV.

For most of Hollywood’s glorious history, Oscar-nominated films were accessible to Americans of all ages. But these days, that is becoming more of a rarity. Dark, disquieting storylines with increasing levels of violence, profanity, and sexually explicit content have become the norm.

This leaves parents with a Hobson’s choice: Either they can allow their children to watch those films despite their objections to potentially harmful and age-inappropriate content, or they can opt out of watching them altogether.

A review conducted by the filtering service VidAngel found that three of the titles nominated for Best Picture — The Irishman, Marriage Story, and Once Upon A Time … In Hollywood — together included nearly 600 instances of profanity, 30 instances of sex or nudity, and almost 50 instances of graphic or gory violence. Add in the films nominated for their outstanding acting and other production elements, and those totals spike even higher.

The Motion Picture Academy has never used “family-friendliness” as a qualification for their award nominations, nor should they. But American families also have the right to enjoy these movies as cultural touch points. That’s why, for two decades, a number of innovative companies have crafted content filtering technologies, allowing viewers to enjoy Hollywood’s iconic filmmaking free from the explicit material that many parents feel is harmful to their children.

You’d think that Hollywood would promote a product that secures their artistic freedom while simultaneously delivering greater choice for consumers. You’d think that Hollywood would herald a remedy that immediately expands the potential marketplace for their product. You’d think that Hollywood would celebrate a technology that helps their films make even more money.

But if you thought those things, you’d be wrong.”

CWALAC: Not Guilty Indeed

By | Blog, CEO, News and Events, Politics/National Sovereignty, Press Releases | No Comments

Washington, D.C.Penny Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC), had this to say after the U.S. Senate vote to acquit President Donald Trump:

“Now that the anticlimactic partisan impeachment is over, we hope Senate Democrats take a break from their relentless abuse of power to try to remove the President and instead join him in continuing the great comeback he outlined in last night’s State of the Union Address.

“That is what I hear from our CWA supporters around the country. The overwhelming sense is that the whole impeachment sham was a total waste of time and taxpayer money.

“That is why, in the middle of all this political theatrics, the President’s approval numbers are the highest he has ever had. The people can recognize an injustice when they see it, and what the Democrats did to the President with this impeachment process was completely unjust.

“The President should be praised for the way he has handled the people’s business while a whole party dedicated itself full time to frustrating his every effort on behalf of the American people. They have failed today, as they have on every attempt before.

“The President won today, and with him the American people, too.”

Penny Nance on SOTU: Trump Shined Light on America’s Renewed Greatness

By | Blog, CEO, National Sovereignty, News and Events, Press Releases | No Comments

WASHINGTONPenny Nance, CEO and president of Concerned Women for America, issues the following statement praising President Trump’s third State of the Union Address, titled “The Great American Comeback”:

“Only one word describes the state of our Union under President Trump — stellar!

The president’s speech shined much-needed light on America’s renewed greatness, a comeback the media has ignored in favor of anti-Trump controversies. The economy is booming with 7 million jobs and record unemployment. Gains have been made to protect unborn life. The right of every American to freely practice their faith without government intrusion has been defended. One hundred eighty-seven Constitutionalist judges and two Supreme Court Justices have been confirmed and will defend the Constitution for decades to come. We’re finally treating our friend Israel as an ally and moved our Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Our borders are defended against terrorists and drug cartels. Despots and bad actors across the globe respect and fear America again, and trust our red lines.

There is no doubt America is experiencing the blessing of renewal, and President Trump’s leadership has been, frankly, unimpeachable.”

CWA CEO and President at 2020 March for Life with President Donald Trump

Women Lead the Pro-Life Movement

By | Blog, CEO, News and Events, Sanctity of Life | No Comments

President and CEO of CWA, Penny Nance, wrote the following article about the reality of abortion and how the pro-choice movement is not pro-woman:

It’s a staggering number: 56 million.

That’s the number of precious lives that have been lost to abortion since the Supreme Court’s ruling on Roe v. Wade in 1973.

On Wednesday, our nation marked the 47th anniversary of this tragically misguided decision. While many supporters of the pro-choice movement today uphold a woman’s right to choose as honoring to women, it is anything but.

As the president of the nation’s largest public policy organization for women, Concerned Women for America, I have talked with many women who have been devastated by their choice to abort. The entire latest episode of my podcast focused on this topic. Women have shared with me how their abortions sent them into relentless cycles of depression, anxiety, and addiction. They tell me how they constantly struggle with shame.

Women have abortions for different reasons. Some are young and afraid of the repercussions from parents or partners. Some face abuse. Some are in dire financial straits. But they all receive similar promises at abortion clinics. They are promised that having an abortion will give them their life back. They are promised that the procedure will be quick and painless. They are promised that their unborn child is just a mass of tissue.

They are being lied to.

Soleimani Was the Tip of Iran’s Spear Against Americans

By | Blog, CEO, News and Events, Politics/National Sovereignty | No Comments

President and CEO of CWA, Penny Nance, wrote the following piece addressing Iran and America’s long and complicated history and how some have upheld the promise to “never forget”:

About 19 years ago I was a part-time, work-from-home mom with a 10-month-old and a 4-year-old. I literally heard a “boom” when American Airlines flight 77 slammed into the side of the Pentagon three miles from my home, taking the lives of 184 innocents, as three more planes took the lives of many others in New York and Pennsylvania that day. Even more traumatic, my husband and I spent the evening comforting the pregnant wife of Navy CDR Patrick Dunn as she awaited news of her dead husband’s fate.

American citizens unified in our horror and outrage against evil men for their murderous actions but we also were furious with U.S. Intelligence for their failure to disrupt the plot. Last week our intelligence community proved that they took to heart our demand to “never forget.”

Unfortunately, many Democrats seem to have developed amnesia over the past week. Following the airstrike that killied Iranian commander Gen. Qassem Soleimani, Iran’s retaliatory airstrikes at U.S. bases in Iraq and even the downing of a passenger plane full of innocent people, some Democrats seem to think President Trump is wrong to use a strong hand against Iran.

CWA Responds to the Killing of Iranian General Qassem Suleimani

By | Blog, CEO, International, National Sovereignty, News and Events | No Comments

A message from CEO and President Penny Nance:

Most likely, you have been following the U.S. military action taken against Iranian terrorist Qassem Suleimani but I wanted you to have specific talking points, history, and prayer points. This is a major foreign policy event that could have very serious implications for U.S. policy in everything from Energy to Defense.

Please pray for Secretary Pompeo, the President, and our military as they walk through what could become a crisis situation should it continue to escalate.  Remember, Iran is desperate, and its economy is in tatters due to U.S. sanctions. They are on the cusp of another revolution and to unite behind war with the “Great Satan” would suit the Ayatollah Khomeini just fine. Many experts hope that cooler heads will prevail. Much of this can be laid at the feet of the Obama Administration who had a policy of appeasement against the terrorist regime culminating with a $150 billion pay off.

I encourage you to look at news clips from when the Iranians stormed our embassy in Tehran on November 4, 1979, and held them for 444 days until after President Reagan was inaugurated in January of 1981. President Trump was right to take this head-on. President Reagan’s policy of “peace through strength” is still true.

Finally, below is the email I sent to Secretary Pompeo this morning.

Mr. Secretary,

CWA is 100% supportive of the President’s decision to retaliate against Soleimani and his murderous thug entourage. History has taught us that appeasement only emboldens terrorists and fascist dictators. We are calling on our members to cover you, President Trump, and our military leaders in prayer. We are also sending out talking points today to our entire list and planning a phone briefing with state leaders and supporters as early as Monday. I have been active on Twitter and will continue to give support.  Please let me know if there is anything else we can do. Mostly, I just wanted you and your team to know we have your backs both through prayer and action.
