I told you yesterday about a powerful prayer event held in Washington, D.C., where tens of thousands of women gathered to pray for our nation.
I was there with my good friend, Alveda King, the niece of American civil rights leader Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., and I was moved when Alveda prayed passionately for racial unity.
She called us back to the Scripture in Acts 17:26, where Paul tells us God “has made from one blood every nation of men. …”
It was a powerful moment for me to look at the crowd and see thousands of women from all racial and ethnic backgrounds, joining hands, united as one. This is what Concerned Women for America strives for. We believe in prayer and action.
