Capitol Hill Brief — Presidents Day

By February 20, 2017Blog, Capitol Hill Brief
Today, as we celebrate the birth of “The Father of our Country,” President George Washington, I can’t help but wonder what he’d think of America today. Would he be proud of what we’ve become, or would he be shocked by the violence and rhetoric being spewed by many over the election or any number of issues? How would he handle what’s happening?

I know what he would do. He would bow his head and pray. Because that’s who George Washington was. He was a man of prayer.

Maybe today, as we face this rough patch in our nation’s history, we should take a page from Washington’s playbook. Perhaps we should pray to our Father in Heaven. Would you join me today?

Today, on President’s Day, let’s consider the progress President Trump and our conservative lawmakers have made and look toward the future. Download our “First 100 Days Update” for more information.
