CBS News recently lauded Iceland for being close to eradicating Down syndrome. Only the truth is they are “eradicating it” by aborting Down syndrome babies!
Here is how the news story started:
“With the rise of prenatal screening tests across Europe and the United States, the number of babies born with Down syndrome has significantly decreased, but few countries have come as close to eradicating Down syndrome births as Iceland.”
Yes, they celebrate that the rise in prenatal screening gives the opportunity to parents to do what apparently — in their minds — obviously the right thing: which is abort these beautiful children.
