Last week, I stood up against the attacks on Judge Amy Barrett of the Seventh Circuit. She was shamefully attacked for her faith. Here is a clip of what I said:
[Audio Clip] Penny Nance: The “Christian dogma” that a few find appalling embodies the best of humanity. It calls us to love others as we do ourselves, to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, attend to the widow and the orphan, and to care for those in prison. It teaches us to be truthful, honorable, and content. It teaches us to respect governmental authority, and yes, it teaches judges to be impartial and love justice. These character traits should be celebrated in any judicial nominee, religious or not.
