Washington, DC – Today, Penny Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC), the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization, responded to the exit of President Joe Biden from the race for President and his endorsement of his Vice President Kamala Harris.

“President Biden did the right thing in bowing out of the Presidential race. It has become clear to the nation that his cognitive faculties are deteriorating by the minute, and Americans have lost confidence in his leadership. There remains a serious question about his ability to perform the duties of president going forward, and we hope Congress will conduct a full investigation. We are praying for the President. 

“In choosing to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris, President Biden makes clear his wishes that his open borders and pro-taxpayer funded abortion up to birth priorities continue going forward. We should not forget that President Biden placed Vice President Harris in charge of the border. Aside from him, there is no one more responsible for the disaster we are living through in terms of border security right now including three hundred fentanyl deaths a day from illegal drugs coming into the country. 

“Biden has made VP Harris the primary promoter of his radical pro-abortion policies. And it is understandable. Remember that NIFLA v. Becerra, the Supreme Court case that prohibited the state of California from forcing pro-life pregnancy centers to promote abortion under penalty of law, was originally named NIFLA v. Harris, after Vice President Harris who was the state’s attorney general at the time. Her radical commitment to abortion goes as far as wanting to force pro-life people to support abortion against their will and in violation of their First Amendment rights. Thankfully, the pre-Trump Supreme Court struck down the law. Harris is as radical as it gets and, therefore, fully in line with President Biden’s agenda. Harris never met an abortion she didn’t like.”

Concerned Women for America (CWA) members are praying that these events might provide an opportunity for reevaluation and reflection on a more fruitful way to lead the nation in the years to come. 

CWA’s She Prays She Votes Bus Tour, targeting 12 states urging Christian women to make their voices heard, is part of this effort as we look forward to the next election and the kind of country we would like to leave to our children and grandchildren. There is no question that the concerns of women will play an essential role in the next election. Both parties would be wise to listen and adjust accordingly.
