I am honored to accept the position of New York State Director for CWA. I have been working as Legislative Liaison for the last two years under Anne Downey who has been a wonderful mentor to me. In the middle of March, I spent two days in Albany with Kenda Bartlett, CWA’s National Field Director. I spent two days learning about CWA’s policies and procedures and brainstorming with Kenda about how best to grow CWA of New York. I also had the opportunity to learn about some of the wonderful people that are involved in CWA of New York as our Prayer/Action Chapter Leaders and our Home Team Captains.

I have lots of ideas about how to grow CWA of New York into an influential force in the state, first and foremost through prayer, which always changes things, and then by having a strong presence at the capital.

During my time watching the legislative process, I have learned that constituents can have a strong influence on the way their representatives vote on pieces of legislation. By letting them know how you the members of CWA feel about the different issues, CWA of NY can be effective and represent you in the halls of the capital.

The key to our success in New York will depend upon the development of Prayer/Action Chapters and Home Teams across the state. I will be talking with our members across the state to see where we might be able to plant more Chapters. We need as many groups meeting as possible, educating our citizens and motivating them to prayer and action.

I believe that prayer is the key to change. We must persevere for righteousness to be restored in our government. If we submit ourselves to God, He will give us the wisdom and the strength to bring about change. I am so looking forward to working with the women and like-minded men of CWA of New York.

Contact me today to find out how you can join with me to make a difference in the great state of New York!
