According to Tom Strode of the Baptist Press, quoting the Huffington Post, “abortion clinics have taken a ‘dramatic toll’ with recent pro-life legislation laws. Abortion centers are shutting down at an unprecedented rate. So far this year, 44 have closed, according to a pro-life organization that tracks abortion clinic operations.” Click here to read the entire article.

As a former 40 Days for Life Coordinator in Charlotte, North Carolina, and now CWA of North Carolina’s Prayer/Action Chapter Coordinator, when I read about the closing of this abortion facility in Texas and when I saw the picture of the Planned Parenthood sign broken in half, I saw the cross of Jesus Christ. The power of prayer and the testimony of Abby Johnson, redeemed and sent back to serve for life, to proclaim Truth and tear down at the gates of hell, that is the power of the Gospel.

Abby Johnson was the former abortion clinic director of Planned Parenthood center in Bryan, Texas. Now a leading pro-life advocate for Coalition for Life, Abby said, “Knowing that the former abortion clinic I once ran is now closing is the biggest personal victory of my life.” She has pledged to “fight until every abortion clinic in this country has shut its doors.”

Those who pass by the closed Texas clinic are quoted as saying, “Only God could have done that”. My prayer for the abortion clinics in Charlotte is that one day, God will shut them down because owner Debra Walsh has had a salvation experience. Then everyone driving by will scratch their head and say, “Only God could have done that.”
