“Whatever you do, work heartily,
as for the Lord and not for men.”
– Colossians 3:23
Last week, U.S. Congressman Ron Estes (R) from Kansas’s Fourth District led a congressional letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, urging him to reissue the Protect Life Rule.
The Protect Life Rule is a decades-old healthcare measure barring Title X Family Planning Program funding from abortion activities. The Rule was rescinded as part of the Biden Administration’s wave of radical pro-abortion policies. Former President Obama also suspended the rule, which sent over $170 million to Planned Parenthood through Title X funding alone between 2013 and 2015. President Trump reinstated the rule during his first term.
Congressman Estes said on the matter,
For too long, the Biden administration forced a deeply flawed mandate on the Title X program, forcing hard-working Americans to effectively subsidize the abortion industry through their tax dollars. Leading this letter is about restoring basic program integrity.
The letter was also signed by U.S. Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Mississippi), Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-North Carolina 5th), Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana-4th), and Sen. Majority Leader John Thune (R-South Dakota). Read the full letter here.
Take Action: Please take a minute to thank Rep. Estes for his bold defense of life in Congress. Be sure to let him know that you are a member of Concerned Women for America of Kansas.
Join us in Thanksgiving and Prayer: Thank the Lord for Rep. Estes and others who are defending life in the womb. Pray that President Trump and Secretary Kennedy reinstate the Protect Life Rule and prohibit Title X funding from being used for abortion activities.
