Planned Parenthood released its annual report. Here is what we know.

While many Americans turned their hearts to celebrate life in Christ’s resurrection this Holy Week, Planned Parenthood silently released its annual report, keeping its eyes fixed on just the opposite. Abortion numbers are on the rise, and one of the prime distributors of sex-rejecting procedures can’t muster the “pride” to show it off.

Despite the report rambling on about women losing access to care due to increased healthcare safety protocols and the lack of state sponsorship, according to their released numbers, Planned Parenthood has committed even more abortions than the year prior. In the 2023-2024 report, they admit to 402,230 abortion services, in addition to 2,223,680 “other contraceptive” services, including emergency contraceptives. In the report released on Friday, Planned Parenthood managed to bring in an 8% increase in abortions and an additional 45,311 contraceptive services.  Don’t let their messaging fool you.

Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee was proud to support the first federal defunding of Big Abortion, including groups like Planned Parenthood, in history last year. In light of this release, we know there is still much work to be done. While we must keep federal dollars out of the abortion industry, that is not enough. CWALAC will continue to fight for legal protections for the unborn and change hearts and minds through grassroots education. That remains unchanged.

However, Planned Parenthood’s agency in evil does not end with the death of the unborn; they pride themselves on being one of the nation’s leading distributors of sex-rejecting hormones. And we know based on their own admission that they distribute these drugs to children. They lure them in by poisoning sex-education curriculum with resources that deny truth and demonize well-intentioned adults, like their parents. It’s no surprise these profiteers of abortion and gender ideology claim to be the largest providers of sex education.

But, while they are quick to plaster sponsorship ads on pride parades, they once again seem to shy away from their affiliations with transgenderism while their public funding is being reviewed in Congress.

Last year, CWALAC released findings that Planned Parenthood was hiding its “transgender care” from its annual report. The only mentions of “transgender” are crouching behind a footnote under “other services.” This category took a drastic 56% decrease in the previous report, despite its aggregated region reports showing significantly higher numbers. More on that here. Clearly, Planned Parenthood is lacking some “pride” in itself with this lack of transparency. And once again, this “other procedures” category took another 35% dive this year.

To be sure, despite the disheartening rise in abortion reporting and staggering lack of transparency, our hope is not shaken. It is not lost on us that, at the same time of release, we gathered together with the saints to celebrate Christ’s ultimate victory over death. This only motivates our work all the more to protect the sanctity of every human life.
