CWA of Florida Responds to Great Loss

Mourning the loss of a great warrior for Christ

On September 10, 2025, our nation experienced a heartbreaking tragedy. The loss of Charlie Kirk, a bold disciple of Jesus Christ and co-founder of Turning Point USA. This is a sobering reminder that Christians are not promised an easy life – but we are called to stand firm, speaking the truth in love.

“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.” – Ephesians 4:13

Concerned Women for America of Florida extends our deepest condolences to Erika Kirk, their children, Charlie’s parents, family, and friends. His mission to promote conservative Christian values and encourage young people to speak truth with courage has left a lasting legacy.

Throughout public forums, Charlie demonstrated unwavering boldness, faithfully proclaiming Biblical truth. His life will be remembered as a testimony to standing for righteousness in love.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis reflected on this loss in an interview with Jesse Watters on Fox News:

This is a big wound for this nation because a republican government cannot endure if we cannot have situations where it’s safe to disagree … where you can actually go and give a different perspective.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” – Mark 12:30-31

Please join CWA of Florida in prayer for:

  • Erika, their children, Charlie’s parents, and all who feel the weight of this loss.
  • Our leaders in Florida and across the nation that they would be protected, strengthened, and guided by God’s truth.
  • The next generation that they would rise up with courage to keep their eyes on Jesus and stand firm in faith.

We become more like Jesus when we stand for what’s right, no matter the cost.
