January 11 – Day of Prayer and Bible Reading at the State Capitol

By January 9, 2025Kansas

With a strike of the gavel, the Kansas Legislature will be underway on January 13, 2025. Once again, Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Kansas will represent your voice with boldness and grace at our state capitol. As with everything we do at CWA, let us start with prayer. What better way to enter into this legislative session than with prayer and Bible reading at the capitol?!

You are invited to join us as we kick off the 2025 legislative session with a Day of Prayer and Bible Reading sponsored by the Upper Room Prayer Group and Culture Shield.

Be sure to stop by our CWA of Kansas table. We would love to meet you and share our plans for 2025 and opportunities for involvement, including our Encourage-A-Legislator Program.

Here are the details:
Saturday, January 11

Kansas State Capitol at 300 W. 10th Street in Topeka.

10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – We will gather with the Upper Room Prayer Group on the 3rd floor in the Old Supreme Court Chamber, now the South Room, for prayer.

12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – We will join Culture Shield in the Capitol Rotunda for a memorable time of singing hymns and Bible reading. Arrive ready to participate. You don’t want to miss this day of blessings.

If you have not yet been to the state capitol, now is the time! Be sure to invite friends and family. Women, men, and children are all welcome.

Come, be a part of this important day as we seek the Lord together. After all, we know that “Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12)
