CWA of North Dakota won the State Organization of the Year award at CWA’s National 2009 Leadership Conference. We could not have been more honored. Kenda Bartlett, CWA National Field Director, stated from the podium, “This year CWA honors a state organization that though small in numbers has achieved much in their state. This state had been without a leader for a number of years when God raised up one lone Prayer Chapter Leader. She established her Chapter, and then God began to give her a vision for bigger and better things for her state. In 2005 she answered the call and became the State Director. God has used that willing heart to build a strong state organization that He continues to grow. CWA became a strong voice in the state legislature and saw amazing victories on legislation dealing with a variety of issues; they launched the Encourage-A-Legislator program with custom-made cards; they did media across the state as they participated in Tea Parties and Town Hall meetings. And in the midst of this, God has brought together an incredible group of ladies that stand in the gap in their state. CWA honors CWA of North Dakota as the recipient of the State Organization of the Year Award.”
