CWA of Louisiana to Host Inaugural Workshop
God’s Design for Government

LAKE CHARLES, LA – God’s Design for Government, a workshop for Christians in politics, will be held in Lake Charles in August. The workshop is sponsored by Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Louisiana, a part of the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with more than half a million members.

According to Sancha Smith, CWA of Louisiana State Director, this workshop is the first of its kind for CWA. It was developed by a local CWA member, Nancy Tower, who used her experiences and her heart’s desire to serve the Lord as her guide. Smith announced that the Southwest Louisiana area will host the pilot program with the inaugural sessions being held at the Greater Saint Mary Baptist Missionary Church on three consecutive Wednesday mornings beginning August 24.

“As religious freedoms are coming under attack more and more across the country, we find it necessary to support and prepare our Christian elected officials in our great state with Biblical guidance, information about religious liberties and to encourage more Christian collaboration.  Louisiana is a great place to start!” said Smith.

The program is a non-partisan, non-denominational interactive and informational workshop for elected officials and candidates for office. Some of the featured speakers will include; Rev. Sam Tolbert Jr., Dr. Bruce Baker, Judge Charlie Schrumpf, Mayor Randy Roach and more.

For more information about the workshop and for registration information, please visit the CWA website events page at  https://concernedwomen.org/events/ to download a flyer.
