Court to Hear Case Concerning Transition Surgeries and Hormones for Minors

By September 17, 2024Missouri

Dear Friend,

Do you or someone you know live in or near Jefferson City, Missouri?

I am writing to inform you about an important upcoming trial, Noe v. Parson, which will be open to public attendance beginning September 23, 2024. During this trial, the Attorney General will defend Missouri’s new law designed to protect children’s healthcare, known as the Missouri Save Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act, Senate Bill 49 (SB 49). The SAFE Act outlaws transition surgeries and cross-sex hormones or puberty-blocking drugs for minors.

The people of Missouri have spoken decisively on this issue through their elected representatives. The time for unlawful experimenting on Missouri’s children is over.

Fast Facts on SB 49: “Save Adolescents from Experimentation” Act (SAFE Act)

This is an opportunity for interested citizens, like you, to see the Missouri Attorney General’s Office present a rigorous scientific defense of the SAFE Act and to pray on location.  Any member of the public may attend to show support for the safety of Missouri’s children.

WHAT: Trial to defend Missouri’s SAFE Act, SB 49
WHEN: September 23 at 9:00 a.m. through October 4 (end date and specific times subject to change)
WHERE: Cole County Courthouse, 301 E High St, Jefferson City, MO 65101
WHY: To show support for keeping Missouri children safe

The SAFE Act was passed by the Missouri Legislature and signed into law by Gov. Mike Parson in 2023. Despite overwhelming support for the law, it has faced non-stop challenges including efforts to stop its implementation before it even went into effect. The Missouri Attorney General’s office has already defended the law against previous challenges. Missouri was the first state ever to do so. And despite the latest challenge by Lambda Legal and the ACLU of Missouri, backers of this law rightfully remain hopeful.

Prayer: Please join us in prayer for our great state of Missouri and the Attorney General’s office as they defend Missouri’s Save Adolescents from Experimentation Act. Pray our children will be protected from experimentation.

Action: Commit yourself to pray about this matter and encourage others to do the same. Attend the trial if you are able.
