The future of female athletics is once again at risk in Pennsylvania. Women should not be forced to compete against men playing on women’s sports teams. Period.
Physiological differences between the sexes give boys inherent advantages in athletics. Female athletes are denied opportunities to excel in their own sports when male athletes identifying as girls are allowed to compete against them.
In January of this year, Rep. Barb Gleim (R-District 199) introduced HB 158, the Protect Women’s Sports Act. Unfortunately, this bill remains stalled in the House Education Committee and is not advancing for consideration.
HB 158 will prohibit biological men from competing on women’s sports teams, ensuring that female athletes will continue to be afforded the opportunity to compete on a level playing field.

- Please email or call the following leaders of the Education Committee. Urge them to protect female athletes by moving HB 158 out of committee and onto the House floor for a full vote.
