Will You Step Up to Protect Children in Michigan? Part 2

“Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness;

instead, expose them.” – Ephesians 5:11 (NLT)

Last month, I alerted you to the concerning books available in your children’s school libraries.  Today, I need to inform you about proposed changes to the Michigan health standards that could effectively turn health class into a sex education class.

If implemented, these changes could have devastating consequences for our children – yours, mine, our grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

If these proposed standards pass, they could:

  • Normalize dangerous and unhealthy behaviors in children by promoting sexual promiscuity, queer gender theory, and other perversions – beginning as early as sixth grade.
  • Sow distrust between parents and children, teaching even the youngest children to question whether their parents are “trusted adults” and whether or not it is “safe” to talk to them.
  • Sidestep transparency lawsby reclassifying “sex education” as “health education,” silencing clergy and skirting laws that require parents to be notified.
  • Offer no clear parental opt-out, as health class is required for K-12 students.

Take Action:

  1. Review and educate yourself on the proposed health education standards.
  2. Contact the State Board of Education members before the next board meeting, November 13, to voice your opposition:
  1. Share this alert. Forward this email to friends, family, and others in your church or community who care about protecting children.
