“Train up a child in the way he should go;
and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
-Proverbs 22:6
HB26-1309 is being heard in the House Judiciary Committee on March 31, 2026.
This bill attacks parental custody by changing definitions of domestic violence to include “health-related abuse” and “coercive control.” If passed, this can be used in custody cases to remove parental rights if a parent does not affirm the gender ideology of the child or access to healthcare, to potentially include reproductive rights like contraception or abortion.
Concerned Women for America of Colorado opposes this bill. Now is the time to make your voice heard.
Take Action:
Please email the members of the House Judiciary Committee and share your concerns about protecting parental rights. Make sure to let them know that you are being updated by Concerned Women for America of Colorado.
