Concerned Women for America of California protects and promotes Biblical values through prayer, education, and action. One of our seven core issues is the Sanctity of Life because every human being is created in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity and worth from conception to natural death.
Today, California families are facing a growing and deeply concerning effort to influence the next generation through schools, youth culture, peer networks, activist curriculum, and teen activism programs that promote abortion, gender ideology, and sexual activism.
Planned Parenthood already operates the nation’s largest abortion network, receives massive taxpayer funding, expands access to chemical abortion pills with minimal oversight, and saturates public education with activist-driven sexuality curriculum. Now, they are increasingly training teenagers themselves to become peer influencers and “educators” on sexuality, abortion, gender ideology, and reproductive activism.
Programs such as Planned Parenthood’s “Teen Council” and “Peer Health Educator” initiatives recruit students to become ambassadors who influence other students on deeply personal moral and sexual issues. According to Planned Parenthood’s own descriptions, students are trained to give presentations on sexuality, consent, relationships, gender identity, advocacy, and “reproductive rights,” while also participating in activism efforts. These programs move far beyond health education into worldview formation and increasingly sidestep parental authority by leveraging peer influence during vulnerable developmental years.
At the same time, parents across California are raising the alarm over sexually explicit materials increasingly appearing in school libraries and classroom instruction. Reports have documented graphic sexual content and pornography-level material being made available to minors in public schools under the banner of education and inclusion. Many families feel they are being shut out of decisions involving highly sensitive moral and sexual content while activist organizations and ideological agendas gain greater access to students during some of the most formative years of their lives.
Many parents are left asking important questions: What exactly is being discussed with students? Are conversations monitored? Are students being encouraged toward services or activism without parental knowledge? Schools may unintentionally grant institutional trust and moral authority to organizations deeply involved in abortion expansion, political lobbying, and controversial cultural activism.
Families deserve transparency, involvement, and the ability to guide their children in accordance with their own faith and values.
God’s Word reminds us:
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6
“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” — Psalm 127:3
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2
As Christians, we believe children are created intentionally by God and deserve guidance rooted in Biblical truth. Parents, not activist organizations, should remain the primary educators and protectors of their children, especially regarding sexuality, identity, relationships, and moral formation.

Pray:
- That hidden agendas would be exposed.
- That parents would become informed and engaged.
- That efforts seeking to normalize abortion and activist ideology among children would be restrained.
- For courage and wisdom for school board members, administrators, pastors, and parents to stand for truth with boldness and conviction.
- That young people would be protected emotionally, spiritually, and physically, and that their hearts and minds would be guided by truth rather than confusion.
Prayer:
Lord, we ask You to protect the children of California. Give parents discernment, wisdom, and boldness. Expose darkness and bring truth into our schools and communities. Strengthen those who are standing for life, purity, and parental rights. Restrain efforts that seek to confuse, mislead, or harm children. Raise up leaders who honor truth and protect families. May every child understand their God-given dignity, value, and purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Take Action
We encourage California families to:
- Ask local school districts whether Planned Parenthood-affiliated programs or speakers are operating on campus.
- Request copies of sex education curriculum and outside partnership agreements.
- Review parent notification and opt-out policies.
- Attend school board meetings to advocate for transparency and parental involvement.
