Dear Friends,
The purpose of our military is to win wars. Its mission is not to be “tolerant” and “diverse.”
Yet only a week after President Obama mentioned repealing the law that prohibits homosexuals from serving in the military, Senator Carl Levin (D-Michigan) has scheduled a hearing on February 2 on it. The House will also hold hearings early in March.
This is not the time to begin social experimentation in our military. Our armed forces are stretched fighting the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Repealing the 1993 law now will create an undue hardship on our military and their families.
Please call your Senators at 202-224-3121 and your Representative at 202-225-3121 and tell them to keep the current law that prohibits homosexuals from openly serving in the military. If the policy is overturned, it would distract from the critical mission of the military simply to impose a sexual agenda onto society. The focus should be on strengthening our national defense and readiness. Repealing the regulation excluding homosexuals from military service would harm recruitment, retention and the readiness of our troops.
Sincerely, | |
