GOP Women’s Club brings in speakers

A Henderson County Republican Women’s Club luncheon meeting will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. on April 23 at the Cedars, 227 7th Ave. W., Hendersonville. Special guest speakers from Concerned Women for America will be featured. Sheri Miller, N.C. state director, event/news editor coordinator, and Mary Francis Forrester, N.C. state associate director, legislative/media coordinator, will speak about “The Battle for America’s Soul” and “Bills We Are Watching.” Miller coordinated the “Stand Strong Together” Conference in 2012, directing She Votes 2012. She is the recipient of the CWA National Prayer Chapter Coordinator Award, and CWA National’s Outstanding Prayer/Action Leader Award. She is a UCLA graduate in communications and mass media. Forrester attended Butler University and the Jordan College of Music. She is a graduate of Wake Forest University Medical School of Cytotechnology. She has 28 years of political activism and humanitarian community service. Her honors and awards include the Johnson C. Smith University Committees of 100 Women, the N.C. Republican Party Hall of Fame (2007) and the Gaston County Republican Award as a 2010 Cultural Warrior. Send reservations in by Friday and make checks payable to: JoAnne Thomas in the amount of $14.
