Save Our Children Rally and Noise Ordinance Update

By June 12, 2019North Carolina

Rally for Life: Save Our Children
Concerned Women for America (CWA) of North Carolina encourages our members and friends to attend the Save Our Children rally this Saturday, June 15, from 10:00 a.m. –  Noon in Charlotte. This pro-life event is in response to the proposed noise buffer ordinance (see article below) and the opening of Planned Parenthood’s new mega-clinic in Charlotte. Read about the new abortion facility here.

Let’s send a strong message to the Charlotte City Council and Planned Parenthood that the city of Charlotte supports life! This very important pro-life rally is hosted by the Douglass Leadership Institute, Black and Brown Coalition, and COGIC Family Life Initiative.

Please plan to attend and be sure to invite your friends!

Update on Charlotte’s Noise Ordinance
As I previously wrote, the Charlotte City Council is seeking to implement a new noise buffer ordinance at the “A Preferred Women’s Health” abortion clinic on Latrobe Drive. Should this ordinance be passed, it would silence the pro-life voices of the Love Life ministry or any other pro-life groups who wish to pray in front of the clinic.

This past Monday, a large and diverse group gathered at the Charlotte City Council meeting to speak out in opposition to the proposed ordinance. A vote on the ordinance is scheduled for Monday, June 24.

Take Action: Help stop the proposed sound ordinance by contacting the Charlotte City Council.

1. Please call and email the city council members to voice your opposition to this proposed unconstitutional ordinance. Tell them no further restrictions are needed on sound ordinances and to vote NO on this issue. The names of the council members and their respective contact information are listed below. Be polite but firm and communicate clearly.
