Last year, Somali migrant Qalinle Ibrahim Dirie kidnapped a 12-year-old girl from her family’s backyard. He beat and raped her in his car before she managed to escape.
After Dirie was convicted of his crime, the Al-Ishan Islamic Center of St. Paul, Minnesota, publicly embraced Dirie, issuing a statement in his defense:
We, the undersigned members of the Somali community, write this letter to express our strong and heartfelt support for Qalinle Dirie, a member of our community.
Like so many of us, Qalinle has faced the challenge of starting over in a new culture: learning English, adjusting to a fast-paced system, and raising children in an environment far different from the one we grew up in.
Before this situation, Qalinle was known as a devoted family man and an outgoing person.
The Minnesota Mosques’ support for Dirie is revealing. The letter refused to acknowledge Dirie’s atrocities, calling the child rape a “situation,” while suggesting that Dirie was not to blame for his actions because he “faced the challenge” of adjusting to a new culture. This excuse begs a question: Is child rape part of Muslim “culture?”
It appears the answer is yes. Renowned Muslim scholar and influencer Mohammed Hijab argued in an interview: “We have a different idea of what it is to be a child… if you get involved with a 100-year-old woman, she might die, but if you were to be intimate with a 14-year-old, or a 13-year-old, who’s got huge hips, and huge breasts, and a huge body, quite frankly, we’d say it’s [rape] not going to have the same effect medically.” He lamented that it is illegal in the West to “go for the one that’s got the hips.” To some Muslims scholars, at least, it appears that child rape is a feature, not a bug, of Islam. Some readers might be aware that Islam’s chief “prophet,” after all, married a 6-year-old.
Women and girls are second-class citizens under Islamic Sharia Law. That feature is abundantly clear overseas: In Afghanistan, women cannot speak or show their face or eyes in public; Afghan women cannot attend school to become doctors, nor can they be treated by male doctors, leaving them without medical care. In Iran, women can be flogged and stoned for improper dress.
In Pakistan, men are encouraged to rape women that are lower on the “honor scale.” In Gaza, University doctors advise men on how to beat their wives without damaging organs or breaking bones, so as to be “therapeutic,” rather than “vindictive.” At large, 700,000 child brides marry Muslim men every year in the Middle East and North Africa.
What’s more, Muslim backwardness travels with Islamic communities wherever they migrate. In the United Kingdom, an Imam instructed his mosque how to properly stone a woman, and in Muslim dominated towns across the UK, pedophilic Pakistani grooming gangs have proliferated unchecked for over twenty years with thousands of English girls trafficked and sexually abused. In Minnesota, Somali Muslims defend a child rapist, and in Washington State, an Afghan Muslim strangled his wife in Sharia “honor-killing” style after suspecting she had an affair.
If the United States wishes to defend women and girls from predators driven by a religious zeal for pedophilia, violence, and terror, we must understand the dire cultural threat of mass migration from Muslim majority countries. President Donald Trump has done just that—last week, after an undocumented Afghan shot and killed a United States National Guardsman just blocks from the White House after shouting “Alluha Akbar,” he posted on X:
I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the U.S. system to fully recover, terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions, end all Federal benefits and subsidies to noncitizens of our Country, denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization.
President Trump is moving in the right direction. The Apostle Paul commanded that government officials be a terror to evildoers—“God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer” (Romans 13)—for the sake of good, innocent, and righteous citizens. Concerned Women for America (CWA) stands firmly for national sovereignty, strong borders, and safe communities for women and children. None of that can be accomplished if the United States mass imports radical Islamists with no interest in assimilation.
Muslim culture is incompatible with American values. It’s time to stand up and say it.
