Washington, D.C. – Penny Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC), issued the following statement celebrating the House passage of the budget reconciliation bill, hailed by President Trump as “THE ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL” and a historic milestone for America:
“CWALAC proudly celebrates the House’s passage of the budget reconciliation bill, a massive victory that delivers on President Trump’s bold vision for our nation. This landmark legislation strengthens families, protects life, and advances economic freedom, and we urge the Senate to act swiftly to deliver these wins to the American people.
This historic effort ends forced taxpayer funding of abortion and transgender surgeries, upholding the sanctity of life and biological truth. It dismantles burdensome Green New Deal policies and expands the Child Tax Credit, empowering parents to thrive and affording them added flexibility to invest in the needs of their family.
This bill also extends the pro-family wins from President Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, eliminates taxes on tips and overtime, offers tax deductions for purchasing American-made vehicles, and delivers historic cuts of over $1.5 trillion in federal spending, fueling prosperity for hardworking families and marking a bold step toward fiscal responsibility. It also bolsters border security with pay raises for our ICE and Border Patrol agents, fulfilling promises to protect our sovereignty. While no single bill can fully resolve our nation’s debt crisis given Congress’s narrow margins, this legislation is a monumental foundation for progress.
CWALAC commends Speaker Mike Johnson, House Leadership, and every Republican who voted in favor of this historic bill. We echo President Trump’s call for the Senate to act without delay. The American people have spoken, rejecting open borders, forced taxpayer funding of abortion, radical gender policies, and fiscal recklessness. Let’s seize this moment to advance faith, family, and freedom for generations to come.”
