WASHINGTON, DC – Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC) commends Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) for introducing the “Safety and Opportunity for Girls Act,” that will “clarify protections related to sex and sex-segregated spaces and activities under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.”

“On this 105th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, we commend Rep. Miller for fighting for females’ rights by introducing legislation that will affirm biological definitions of sex under Title IX. Just as women have fought for the right to vote, women today need to fight for their safety and dignity as we protect sex-based sports. It is outrageous that this need exists, but Rep. Miller’s bill will define and codify into law the right for females to compete in sports against females, not trans-identifying men,” said Penny Nance, CEO and President, Concerned Women for America LAC.

CWA research found that trans-identifying males have stolen over 1,941 gold medals from women and girls in the United States, pushing each rightful champion down to second place. Additionally, trans-identifying male athletes have stolen over $493,173 in prize money from women in professional sports.
