Merry Christmas!

“The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a Son, and they will call Him Immanuel—which means, ‘God with us.'” Matthew 1: 23 

“God with us.” How awesome that the Christ, the Son of the Living God, emptied Himself of His heavenly glory to humbly be born as a baby in a barn. He is not a distant God, but is “God with us,” allowing us to have a personal relationship with Him. His greatest gift is the salvation He secured for us as He “became obedient to death—even the death on a cross.” And as He conquered death, we too may enjoy the gift of eternal life with Jesus.

“Therefore. God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2: 8-11

Amongst the busyness of shopping, baking, presents, decorating, entertaining, and Christmas programs, may you focus on Jesus—”God with us.”
