Merry Christmas, and Thank You from CWA of Kentucky! + Year-in-Review

By December 20, 2024Kentucky

Dear Friends,

What a year! Hope is in the air as we look back at all we have accomplished this year and consider the possibilities ahead. We want to say a big THANK YOU for your friendship and support.

We praise God for each and every one of you!

The Christmas season, with its focus on the birth of Jesus Christ, is at the center of this hope. The Savior was born, died for our sins, rose from the grave, and reigns on high!

The words of 1 Peter 1:3 come to mind, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

It is that hope that keeps us energized, even in the midst of what others think is impossible. That is how we approached this election year, and we saw God move in miraculous ways.

But we couldn’t engage the way that we do without your help. YOU have gifted us with your time, talent, and/or treasure, and we are beyond grateful.

Let me list just a few of the things we were able to accomplish this year, thanks to you!

  • Advocated for life at the State Capitol as we lobbied Kentucky representatives for co-sponsorship of the Life.gov bill that would create a website listing local, state, and federal resources already available for expectant moms and families.
  • Conducted our Encourage-A-Legislator Prayer Program to encourage and pray for our state legislators. The legislative body was prayed for daily and received an encouraging postcard every month throughout the legislative session.
  • Met with the Kentucky pro-life caucus and shared how Life.gov legislation could translate into state legislation by creating a website listing local, state, and federal resources already available for expectant moms and families.
  • Hosted prayer walks at the State Capitol where we met and prayed with key legislators.
  • Participated in get-out-the-vote efforts through several e-alerts, speaking engagements on the importance of Christians voting, and provided information on Amendment 2 and how it would affect education in Kentucky by allowing state funding for non-public education.
  • Added multiple new leaders: an Associate Director, two Prayer/Action Chapter Leaders, one in Madison County, and the other in Johnson County; and an Encourage-A-Legislator Coordinator.
  • Spoke to numerous women’s groups around the state to encourage engagement to promote Biblical values and constitutional principles in public policy.

2025, Here We Come!

We are believing in a God-sized vision for CWA of Kentucky’s engagement for next year. Now is not the time to let up. We need to commit to prayer and action now more than ever. We have a great opportunity to exert generational transformation in the name of our Lord in the next year that will benefit our children and grandchildren. So, we will need your help! Please pray about what you can do and make yourself available to the Lord.

Please prayerfully consider making a final year-end, tax-deductible gift of $100, $50, $25, or other to continue the work here in Kentucky. It will make a huge difference for our state! Send a check to the address below or contribute online.

And remember, let’s keep our eyes on that Blessed Hope; we will stand triumphant in His glory alone.

In His Service,
