Dear Friends,
What a year! Hope is in the air as we look back at all we have accomplished this year and consider the possibilities ahead. We want to say a big THANK YOU for your friendship and support.
We praise God for each and every one of you!
The Christmas season, with its focus on the birth of Jesus Christ, is at the center of this hope. The Savior was born, died for our sins, rose from the grave, and reigns on high!
The words of 1 Peter 1:3 come to mind, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
It is that hope that keeps us energized, even in the midst of what others think is impossible. That is how we approached this election year, and we saw God move in miraculous ways.
But we couldn’t engage the way that we do without your help. YOU have gifted us with your time, talent, and/or treasure, and we are beyond grateful.
Let me list just a few of the things we were able to accomplish this year, thanks to you!
- Submitted testimony to the House Health and Welfare Committee members in support of the Help Not Harm bill forbidding gender transition surgery, prescribing puberty blockers, and delivery of other gender-affirming care by medical professionals in Kansas to people younger than 18. In addition, we lobbied our state legislators and sent out e-alerts encouraging our members to pray and contact their legislators.
- Conducted our Encourage-A-Legislator program to encourage and pray for all 165 state legislators. Our volunteers provided monthly postcards and daily prayer throughout the legislative session.
- Celebrated Faith Month at the Capitol Steps and flew our Faith Flags high.
- Raised awareness about our duties and rights within our U.S. Constitution via an e-alert and classes.
- Worked on get-out-the-vote efforts via speaking engagements, tabling, voter registration, e-alerts, and more.
- Hosted prayer walks at the State Capitol where we encouraged and prayed with key legislators. We also met and prayed for officeholders such as Attorney General Kris Kobach, Shawnee County District Attorney Mike Kagay, Shawnee County Sheriff Brian Hill, and others.
- Stood firm for life at the Kansas March for Life Rally as we enjoyed the speakers, the March, and introducing people to CWA at our table.
2025, Here We Come!
We are believing in a God-sized vision for CWA of Kansas’s engagement for next year. Now is not the time to let up. We need to commit to prayer and action now more than ever. We have a great opportunity to exert generational transformation in the name of our Lord in the next year that will benefit our children and grandchildren. So, we will need your help! Please pray about what you can do and make yourself available to the Lord.
Please prayerfully consider making a final year-end, tax-deductible gift of $100, $50, $25, or other to continue the work here in Kansas. It will make a huge difference for our state! Send a check to the address below or contribute online.
And remember, let’s keep our eyes on that Blessed Hope; we will stand triumphant in His glory alone.
In His Service,
