Sharon Slater, President of Family Watch International, created headlines earlier this year when she uncovered evidence of the Girls Scouts USA (GSUSA) working relationship with Planned Parenthood, while at the United Nations (UN) for the 2010 Commission on the Status of Women conference. Since the discovery of this working relationship – GSUSA denies any affiliation with Planned Parenthood – Slater has drafted an open letter to parents and local Girl Scout councils detailing these events. She also informs us of what we should guard against in their own area of influence, from “Healthy, Happy, and Hot” brochures to condom cupcakes.
