Alarming Rise in Youth Mortality
A recent review conducted by the Kansas State Child Death Review Board, released by Attorney General Kris Kobach, reveals a deeply troubling trend. Kansas currently has a higher child mortality rate than the national average. The findings are both saddening and shocking.
In 2023, 361 children in Kansas died before reaching the age of 18, and more than half of these deaths involved infants. Though some deaths were a result of natural causes, others included drugs (on the rise), suicide (within the ages of 10-17, Kansas is above the national average), and homicide (three times higher than 2022).

Heavenly Father, we come before You to lift up every precious child in Kansas. We earnestly seek Your protection and care over them. Watch over their safety and well-being and guide each child to grow securely in the hope and purpose You have lovingly prepared for them.
May Your Holy Spirit move across Kansas, transforming it into a state that radiates Your light, love, and the fullness of life. We long for Kansas to be known as a place of LIFE, O Lord.
We humbly ask for Your forgiveness and restoration. Turn our hearts back to Biblical truth and renewed devotion. Empower us to support our children so they thrive in their true identity and find peace within Your perfect design.
