July 2010 Regional Meeting Report

By August 13, 2010Washington

Concerned Women for America hosted a successful event in Vancouver, Washington, on July 24, 2010. Nearly two dozen people were in attendance for a fellowship lunch which was followed by cookies and a meeting. During the meeting, we heard from State Director Maureen Richardson who discussed how, as an average citizen, she became involved with CWA, as well as her commitment to stand on the battlefield for the LORD, promoting and protecting Biblical values in the culture and putting families first. Shared Hope International speaker Arbour Decker explained why and how that organization was founded when former Congresswoman Linda Smith was educated on the widespread prostitution of our daughters around the world and also in the United States through the smooth and deceiving lies of sexual slavery rings. Research Mom presented a power point about the clash between the Christian and secular worldviews and how that is affecting and infecting each of our families. State Representative Jaime Herrera stopped in to share why it is so vital for citizens to be activists who are interacting with their elected officials on a regular basis about the laws those legislators are considering, laws which will impact our lives and our culture. We invite you to join us at our next regional meeting. Watch this website for details!
