“No people can be truly happy, though under the greatest enjoyments of civil liberties, if abridged of the Freedom of their Conscience as to their Religious Profession and Worship.”
William Penn (Pennsylvania Charter of Liberties, 1701)
Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Pennsylvania leaders gathered at the State Capitol in Harrisburg Wednesday to hear the heartfelt speech and presentation of SR257 by Sen. Cris Dush (R-District 25) commemorating April as Faith Month in Pennsylvania.
Sen. Dush said on the floor of the Pennsylvania Senate, “By designating April 2024 as Faith Month, the Pennsylvania Senate is encouraging all Commonwealth citizens to respectfully engage and freely share their faiths. Just as William Penn and America’s Founders originally intended, this includes prayer, worship, and all other peaceful displays and expressions of religious liberty and thanksgiving.” You can watch his full comments here.
Pennsylvania has always stood for religious freedom, as witnessed in our beautiful State Capitol and founding documents. Faith Month gives us a great opportunity to celebrate the vision of William Penn, which is not to separate faith and government but rather to unite and weave them together.
Please join us in thanking Sen. Dush for lifting the banner of faith. His contact information is below.

PS: Concerned Women for America celebrates “Faith Month” each April by flying our Christian flag, and we encourage Christians across Pennsylvania to join CWA and raise their Christian flag in honor of faith and freedom. Learn more about Faith Month here.
