“I drove 70 Miles to Support a Local Business Owner”

After watching Tucker Carlson’s interview with Rick Savage, owner of Sunday River Brewing Company, my husband and I were compelled to drive 70 miles today to stand alongside Rick and his right to a livelihood for both his workers and his family.

We Mainers have followed the early COVID-19 guidance put out by Gov. Janet Mills. We understood the need for the initial Stay-At-Home order so as to protect the most vulnerable among us. However, Gov. Mills’ extended Stay-At-Home order and plans to gradually reopen the state, are unreasonable and will have dire consequences on both the emotional and economic well-being of Mainers.

God’s Word says if you don’t work, you don’t eat (2 Thessalonians 3:10). Mainers are ready and willing to get back to work.  We call on Gov. Mills to allow our state to reopen for business sooner rather than later.

Take Action

  1. Contact Gov. Mills and urge her to reopen Maine businesses and allow Mainers to go back to work. Be sure to let her know that you are a member of Concerned Women for America of Maine and that you are praying for her and her team. You can email her or call (207) 287-3531.
  2. Please send this e-alert to friends and family.

Please Pray:  Dear Heavenly Father, in the middle of this pandemic, help us see beyond the immediate, knowing You are in control, and our lives are in Your hands. Please grant Gov. Mills and her team wisdom to do what is best for our health, safety, and economy. Psalm 91 promises us that “You are our refuge and fortress whom we trust to save us from the plague that destroys at midday.”

In Jesus’ Name.  Amen
