Thank you for the great turnout Tuesday at the Value Them Both Amendment (HCR 5019) committee hearing!  The room was packed. Your presence showed how much this means to us, the grassroots people of Kansas.

The Kansas House Federal and State Affairs and the Kansas Senate Judiciary Committees passed the Value Them Both Amendment out of their respective committees! TheValue Them Both Amendment is now one step closer to being placed on the August Primary Election ballot!

HCR 5019 will allow Kansans to protect mothers and babies with common-sense regulations. Click here for more information on the amendment and CWA of Kansas’s efforts along the way.

HCR 5019 is expected to be on both the Kansas House and/or Senate floor as early as next week. Your continued involvement is needed to move the amendment forward.

Take Action:

  1. Contact your legislators and encourage them to vote yes on the Value Them Both Amendment when it comes to the floor. Urge them to let the men and women of Kansas decide by putting this amendment on the ballot. Click here and then click on “Find Your Legislator” to contact your Kansas House and Senate members.
  2. Contact each committee member and inquire how they voted. If they supported it, thank them. It is imperative that they feel thoroughly appreciated for their stand. If they did not support it, respectfully express your disappointment. Senate Judiciary and House Federal and State Affairs.
  3. Forward this on to like-minded friends and family.  Encourage them to both pray and take action on this life-saving amendment.

Please Join Me in Prayer: Father, I thank you for the favorable passage of the Value Them Both Amendment out of the committees. I pray now that Your hand will be upon it as it now goes to both the House and Senate. Hold back those who aim to thwart our efforts. Amen.

Thank you for contacting your legislators, attending the hearing at the Capitol, and for praying.  Together our message has been clear; Kansans care about this issue. Keep it up!
