Female Athletes to Rally Outside
NCAA D-III Championships Friday

Male athlete “identifying” as female,
Sadie Schreiner, to compete in 200 m.

Washington, D.C. – On Friday, March 8, Concerned Women for America (CWA), the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization, and its collegiate leadership Young Women for America (YWA) will join with female athletes, coaches, parents, and policy leaders in a rally outside the Virginia Beach Sports Center where a biological male will be competing in the 200-meter track event against female athletes. This coalition will demand that the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), the governing body for collegiate sports, stop discriminating against female athletes.

Rochester Institute of Technology rostered sophomore Sadie Schreiner on its women’s team this season. After breaking records and being named “women’s performer of the week,” the NCAA selected Schreiner to compete on the national stage in the women’s meet in Virginia Beach, Virginia, this weekend, taking one of the coveted 20 slots vying for the national title.

“At a time when the NCAA faces backlash for suppressing women’s achievements, another female athlete is being denied a place in history so a biological male can make another run at a national podium,” said Doreen Denny, Senior Advisor for (CWA) “The NCAA has forced its ‘transgender inclusion’ agenda in women’s sports for 14 years with a policy that allows male inclusion in female competition. The discrimination against women by this organization is mind blowing.”
