America’s Governor, Ron DeSantis, Pledges to Protect the Unique Dignity of Women
Joins other candidates signing CWA Promise to American Women
Washington, D.C. – Today, Concerned Women for America (CWA), the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization, announced that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a warrior for the values American women hold dear, has signed CWA’s pledge defining women and promising to uphold that sex is binary and reinforce that in every policy and program at home and abroad.
Former President Donald Trump, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley have also signed The Presidential Promise to American Women, created by CWA and sent to all 2024 Republican and Democratic candidates. It reads as follows:
Recent polling has revealed that most American women from all political demographics will vote for a president who will adamantly protect and acknowledge biological truths.
“Gov. DeSantis has made his position clear that his administration will recognize that women have unique dignity and worth,” said Penny Nance, CEO and President of CWA. “Our culture has conveyed to women that they need to just shut up and take it while men invade women’s spaces in shelters, prisons, housing, and sports. All these candidates understand there must be pushback to this culture of lies and intolerance, pledging to not allow that to happen during their administrations, and we applaud them for making their views clear.”
