Day 16 – A Prayer of Thanksgiving

Heavenly Father,

How grateful we are that You are Emmanuel, God with us.
You have promised never to leave or forsake us.
You are fighting our battles and working all things for our good
Even when Your footprints can’t be seen.

You are ever present in our troubles.
You go before us and behind us.
You surround us with songs of joy!

We are seen by You, known by You, and cared for by You.
And nothing can separate us from Your love—
Deep love we cannot begin to understand or deserve.

Thank You for Your presence in these uncertain days.
Thank You for never abandoning us in our times of need.
Thank You for Your Word that is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.

We are hard-pressed on every side, but not crushed;
Perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
And our light and momentary troubles are working in us a glory that far outweighs them all.
So, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.
For what is seen is temporary. What is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4)

Lord, we seek You, we trust You, we wait for You,
And we find rest in You this day and in the weeks to come.
Show us Your salvation!

In Your mighty name we pray,
Amen.
