CWA of Tennessee Encourages Prayer and Action on Behalf of Our Great State

Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Tennessee’s response to the issues we face is always a combination of prayer and action. On that note, I would like to encourage you to consider these opportunities:

Consider finding out if there is a local CWA of Tennessee Prayer/Action Chapter in your area or consider starting one in your community.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” -1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

A CWA’s Prayer/Action Chapter is a group of Christian conservative women who are committed to meeting regularly to 1) be educated on CWA’s current issues, 2) take action on those issues, and 3) pray strategically for the issues and our leaders.

Prayer: Pray the Lord will raise up a CWA Prayer/Action Chapter in every Tennessee county.

Action: Contact me today to learn if there is a chapter in your area or how you can start one. You are needed!

Consider getting involved in the July Pray4TN prayer efforts. CWA of Tennessee commends this organization as they are activating prayer across the state within the month of July.

“But someone will say, ‘You have faith and I have works.’ Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”  -James 2:18

PrayforTN website: “In 2024, Tennessee launched a prayer movement with House Joint Resolution (HJR) 803, a ‘call to prayer, fasting and repentance’ for the whole month of July.  Introduced by Rep. Monty Fritts, carried to the Senate by Sen. Mark Pody, and signed by Gov. Bill Lee, this initiative united all 95 Tennessee counties in prayer, with countywide Sacred Assemblies at each County Courthouse, from July 1st to July 31st, with participation ranging from a handful to hundreds gathering in each county—a humble start to a burgeoning movement.

“In 2025, HJR 0051 passed both House and Senate with 59 co-sponsors in the Assembly and was signed by Gov. Bill Lee on May 2nd. Thus, it became an unprecedented, annual call for those ‘physically able and spiritually inclined’ to join in prayer, fasting and repentance. Tennessee faces urgent challenges: deadly drugs in our smallest towns, broken families, rising crime, and more that makes the need for hope and healing essential. But no law or politician can offer this, and without repentance, there is no Revival. Our hope is in Jesus alone!”

Prayer: Pray regularly this month for our great state. Set your phone alarm accordingly.

Action: Go to the Pray4TN website to find out if there is a prayer event in your area. Make every effort to participate and bring some friends.
