CWA of Maine Now Covers All 183 State Legislators in Prayer Daily

By January 31, 2012Maine

We are thrilled to inform you that we now have completed our preliminary work for the Encourage-A-Legislator Program for the State of Maine. We have people praying daily for each individual legislator in our Maine Legislature, both for senators and representatives. We have people praying for our governor, Paul LePage, and we have people asking for someone for whom to pray! What a great response to the need and what a great problem to have! We are now suggesting that individuals who still desire a name for which to pray should pray for his or her own representative and/or senator in the area in which they live. If they do not have that information, we will be glad to provide it for them. It has also been suggested to us that we give the names of others who have offices in the governor’s cabinet and other positions of responsibility. We will be happy to provide those names as well, as inquiries are made.

We have every confidence in our Lord Jesus Christ that He will work mightily as a result of these prayers by these pray-ers. “More things are still wrought by prayer than this world knows of” and we are excited to see what God will do in our state government this session both in individuals and as a whole.

We are told in Galatians 6:9, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” So we will keep on keeping on and look forward with great anticipation to what our Lord will do! We are praying for the participants who are praying that they will remember to pray, that they will pray specifically, and that they will be blessing as they are blessing the legislators.

We have already received replies from some of the legislators expressing their appreciation for the efforts of our people, and know that this encouragement is much needed. It takes courage to take a stand on unpopular issues and to keep on standing for the right, and we will pray much for these men and women for that kind of courage.

Thanks to all who have embraced this ministry enthusiastically and God bless.
