We’ve reached a crucial stage in the battle to preserve women’s sports in California. Concerned Women for America (CWA) of California applauds President Trump’s executive order affirming that women’s sports must be for women. However, the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF), the governing body of high school sports across the state, is refusing to comply. This impacts over 335,000 female athletes. CIF continues to allow biological males to compete in girls’ sports—violating Title IX and putting fairness, safety, and opportunities at risk.
Following our recent press event in Long Beach, where CWA of California joined with like-minded organizations as part of the unified Save Girls’ Sports Coalition to voice our concerns, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) announced an investigation into CIF! This is a huge win and proof that your voices, prayers, and actions make a difference. The investigation is a direct result of pressure from parents, athletes, school board members, and concerned citizens like you. Things change when we speak up, show up, and stand together.

A special thank you to Noelle Fitchett, CWA of California’s Communications Coordinator, for making a statement on our behalf.
Craig Trainor, Acting Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights, United States Department of Education, made it clear that CIF must follow federal law, stating, “CIF is free to engage in all the meaningless virtue-signaling that they want, but at the end of the day, they must abide by federal law.”
Let this encourage you: Your voice matters. Your prayers matter.
Continue making a difference:
