WASHINGTON, DC Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women for America, released the following statement on the Senate Armed Services Committee and the House of Representatives vote to repeal the law known as “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”:
“President Obama and congressional leaders struck a deal with homosexual activists with no military leaders in the room to force the military to allow homosexuals. A policy that will have an extensive impact on combat situations, chaplains, housing, morale, discipline is being imposed, not because it is good for the military or America, but to satisfy the demands of homosexual activists. Politicians have put homosexual interests above our national security.
“The Pentagon and officials in our military know what is best for our troops and the protection of our country. For Congress to outright ignore their counsel and vote to repeal a law which was enacted after carefully considering the military’s unique mission without even considering how a repeal will impact the military puts our nation’s security at risk.”
