WASHINGTON, DC – Concerned Women for America (CWA) celebrates the U.S. Department of Education’s decision to formally rescind President Biden’s Title IX regulations. While Biden’s rule was never enforced, it remained on the books pending today’s announcement.
“CWA applauds the Department of Education’s action that officially removes any claim that ‘sex’ means sexual orientation or gender identity under Title IX. That assertion is now fully indefensible. Clarity in Title IX law is essential to stop the activism forcing female students and athletes to give up their rights on the basis of sex. The Supreme Court unanimously reaffirmed the biological meaning of sex discrimination under Title IX in a landmark women’s sports case in June. It is time for trans insanity to stop once and for all,” said Penny Nance, CEO and President, Concerned Women for America.
CWA vigorously opposed Biden’s illegal rule, encouraging thousands of women and men to send comments to the Department of Education opposing Biden’s rule, and meeting with Biden officials.
A CWA poll found that over 69% (69.3%) of Americans believe it is very or somewhat important in deciding who to vote for in this election that candidates oppose forcing female athletes to participate in sports and share locker rooms with biological boys/men identifying as girls/women.
