Washington, D.C. – Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC), the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization, celebrates the Senate’s passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, a historic legislative triumph that halts taxpayer funding of the abortion industry, delivers unprecedented tax relief, fortifies border security, increases ICE funding dramatically, unleashes American energy independence, and champions the values of life and family. While not every CWALAC priority was included, this bill is an overwhelming victory for the American people, for families, and for the sanctity of life.

This groundbreaking legislation defunds Planned Parenthood for one year, a first in congressional history, effectively cutting off taxpayer dollars from the nation’s largest abortion provider and redirecting funds to genuine women’s healthcare, like community health centers. This bill also bolsters the child tax credit, which reaffirms support for families as well as continuing a culture that cherishes and welcomes children.

“For too long, hardworking American families have been forced to bankroll the destruction of innocent life in the womb. That ends today,” said Penny Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee. “This bill is a critical step in restoring our nation’s moral foundation—protecting the unborn, shielding our children, and uplifting families through pro-family policies that honor God’s design. Though we didn’t secure every provision we fought for, this is a monumental win for life, liberty, and the American Dream. We applaud the Senate for standing firm and call on the House to swiftly send this bill to President Trump’s desk.”

CWALAC remains steadfast in its mission and will never waver in advocating for policies that protect the sanctity of human life, safeguard children, and uphold the Biblical values that anchor our nation. We will keep fighting for every principle we hold dear.
